I knew running wouldn't make me any safer, but it's all I could think of at the moment. The screams faded in the distance as I ran as far as my weak legs would take me. "Going somewhere?" A tall bulky man suddenly stopped me. I gasped. His hands were bloody and his shirt was drained with an insane amount of blood. I assumed right away that he was another one of them. I knew what was about to happen, so I just stood still and stayed silent. I screamed when his head was suddenly severed from his neck. His head flew across the street, leaving a trail of blood behind. I felt myself being pulled and rushed to who knows where before I could even see who it was that killed the man who was about to attack me. Fire and Ice. Copyright © April 2018. All Rights Reserved.

[completed!] Under editing! Man kind, invincible and scared of nothing. We were the superior race, and we revelled in it. We all thought we were the ones at the top of the food chain, completely untouchable. However it was like I said, we 'thought' we were. In the darkness lurks a creature like no other, that prays upon us. Hunting us! Waiting for just the right moment to strike, to knock us off of our high pedestal and back onto the ground. I know this because I have seen this beast. Been face to face with it, battled toe to toe with this creature, fighting for what was left of my life, and I was losing! - - - - - - - - "Watch out!" I scream in alert, as a hard thudding sound pierced our ears as something slammed into our side of the car, sending a sensation of dizziness as the car spun of of control. The screeching tires dragged along the floor, with the faint stench of the irony liquid dripping from my head as it all grew still...
