It had been two years since the day Fuji and Aya's mother left them. They had only stayed in their town for those two years as Aya had convinced Fuji to wait for their mother for another few days, a few weeks, a few months and so on. But Fuji's patience had been running thin; worn out from the pressure of raising her then 8 year old sister, the nightmares that seemed to plague the two of them every night, and the pain and betrayal she felt from their mother leaving them to fend for themselves in a harsh world.
