The first time I heard it, it was in English class, and it was glossed over as an unimportant word.
The second time I heard it, it was from a random guy on the streets speaking loudly into a phone.
The third time I heard it, I was in a dark room, tied up, and asked to join a cult.

"WHY CAN'T YOU GET IT INSIDE YOUR HEAD?" He trapped my trembling body between his arms and slammed his fist into the wall. I flinch at the sound as I feel tears forming in my eyes. Shutting my eyes closed and turning my face to the side as I do. Moments later, I feel his rough hand on my waist and his finger grazing my cheek. "Look at me, love." His hand grips onto my jaw, his thumb playing across my lower lip. He turns my face to meet his as I lower my gaze to the floor. He lowers himself to my level and I feel his breath fanning my cheek causing my breathing to become unsteady. "I love you so much, darling. But you need to learn. You need to learn that you won't be going anywhere. You're mine." With that being said, his other hand slides down to my waist "Your entire body, your mind, your soul. All mine." Haunted School
It's all chill with thrills until the scary stories are based on true incidents! At least all the stories me and my classmates have been sharing do have relevance to reality. But that wouldn't mean my school is haunted! I mean, I did see someone walk pass by me but I couldn't find them when I turned back; and there was definitely no one walking behind me; neither was the door locked in the empty building nor were the students' headcount dropping in thin air. I'm sure there's logical explanation to all of it, right? Our school is obviously not haunted.... Right?
