I think our biggest failure as a race is we forget the importance of time. We underestimate the power of a second. In the great sports and olympics, racers and runners are distinguished by tenths of seconds. How do you comprehend something like that. There's a fine line between winning and loss. Sometimes an even finer line with life and death. This is my attempt to describe the most traumatising second of my life. As I try to recollect my thoughts of what happened most of the events will always remain a blur.

Escaping from your past isn't easy, especially when you're just a puppet in the grand scheme of things. We were young, but we never had it easy. You could say we were lucky after escaping time and time again, but our fate always brought us back. Even now, we are not what we wanted, but who we were meant to be. It's in our blood, we have no choice. We were born into something much bigger than ourselves, something that we'll never be able to fully escape from. This may appear to be an ordinary cliché story, but all those clichés give us comfort. It means that maybe one day we will have our happy ending, but that has yet to come. A normal life is impossible to reach, we know that now. We were so naive to think we could create one on our own if at all. Every day we live in fear that they'd find us. Even after travelling so far to get away, they still haunt us in our mind. We are a nurse; a thief; a persuader; and an assistant; the only family we have and need. I think I've figured out why I always dwell on the pain so much; because unlike the happy moments, which are few in itself, the suffering leaves scars that make it hard to forget the pain. Forgetting The Love of Your Life
When the love of his life crashes at a Formula One race, Charles rushes to the hospital only to have to wait for a couple of days and nights for her to awaken. They spent two wonderful years together - He just proposed a month ago - And now she's sleeping in a hospital bed. When she finally wakes up, and seems confused by his presence, he hectically asks her, if she can remember him. She answers: "Yeah- I think so- You're the guy who races for Ferrari- Charles Leclerc? Right?" His heart sinks into his stomach as he realises that she forgot the last two years of their happy life, and that she doesn't know who he is anymore. When the Doctors tell him that her memories may or may not ever come back, he decides that he's willing to do anything and everything to make her remember him and their life - And in the worst case, if she doesn't remember him, to win her over a second time. *Has cussing and some mature themes*

It's not the days that we remember, but it's the moments within those days that are ingrained in our minds. Those moments become treasures in a way.
