The Hayes twins. Born in Candor but switched to Dauntless, the twins were inseparable. Madeline is the younger one but she is also the complete opposite of Peter. While he is cruel and evil she carries this light and happiness with her that spreads to those around her. It's impossible not to be happy when near her. And though the are opposites, Peter loves his sister dearly and she loves him.
But Madeline holds a secret not even her brother knows. She is divergent. But she is special, not an ordinary divergent. What are the differences between her and others-others like Tris. And what happens when the cold, young leader gets a soft spot for the young girl.
