In order to combat their devastation, an organization of trained human hunters was formed. Each hunter for every creature has a different name. Vampire slayers are simply known as hunters. Victoria Abelard, better known as Vick, was a famous vampire hunter in the early nineteenth century. After a botched job, she was turned into the one thing she hated most. A vampire. Two hundred years later, Vick has learned how to blend in with the human crowd. Her life couldn't be anymore perfect, especially with the disappearance of vampires for over fifty years (which hunters gladly help keep in place). However, her life is turned upside down when two old friends pop back into it. Them requesting her to assassinate the king of the vampires. Just when she thought she was free, Vick is thrown back onto the roller coaster of life. Amused. Amused would be the one word Alucard would use to sum up his entire interaction with this town tonight. The ancient vampire couldn't even contain his grin at this point as he watched the lesser scum of a supposed vampire squirm under his gaze. He had been watching the whole situation unfold for the better part of an hour and now that the climax was about to reach its end the utter excitement was making him giddy. Normally his master would command him to if at all possible, not to murder all witnesses and civilians while pursuing the intended target. Tonight however it was different. No witnesses. This was always exciting, nothing was better then a fresh meal straight from the source, bagged blood was a poor excuse for the hot, tangy, rich taste one can only get from tearing into a fresh carotid artery. However the excitement of the potential meal was currently being overshadowed. This women had intrigued him, not only had she managed to brutally dispatch of not one but three of the flesh hungry ghouls that had surrounded her. He had watched her struggle with the over whelming fear and win the fight against instinct. And now as the disgusting blood sucker that held her delicate throat described all the heinous acts he planned on acting out with her once he dispatched of him. He watched as she formulated a plan. His grin threatened to split his face in two as he watched her body relax , he found himself having a hard time to contain his excitement. He darted his crimson eyes back to the vampire who was still spewing filth from his vile mouth. "What makes you think your walking out of here alive?" Everyone has heard of the classic stereotypical vampire love store. Powerful figurehead vampire male becomes attracted to young human female. At first they aren't attracted but as time goes on, they begin to fall madly in love. Then there is the story of a male vampire who has done unspeakable evils as a vampire and is eternally brooding and even though he can't help what he is, he tries to be the good, kind hearted lover for his human female. Or better yet, the female finds out her lover is a vampire and begs and pleads to be turned to live eternally young and thus tries everything in her power to become a vampire but the male vampire refuses to turn her so that she does not live a cursed life. After a mysterious man begins to befriend her while working at her job, a night of sex turns into the start of everything she thought she could handle into a whirlwind of challenges. It's easy to kill a person in the movies or in a book because it's fiction. But actually suck the life out of a living being and it be her new reality, that's a whole different ballgame. Nadine Burns must now learn to face being a Newborn vampire in a world where there is no kindhearted feelings and sunshine and rainbows. To top it all, she was turned by one of the most powerful vampire leaders in her city and must also learn how to parade around in vampire politics.Completa
