Ebony is self conscious and didn't think someone could ever possibly love her until Wilson came along. They were together and in love until Ebony found Wilson sleeping with her boss, Sarah. Ebony started to question everything in her life at that point. She was furious that Wilson could betray her like that. Wilson won't ever be able to hurt anyone ever again after Ebony gets her way.
