In the distant future, there are no boundaries left. The only laws are money and power. crime bosses of major cities and systems all scrawl for power like rats and when things go sideways, they disappear off the face of the entire galaxy. There's a special type of person that is hired to find said people and deliver them back to their employers- They're called Outlaws. Most of them sequester themselves over near the outer regions of the galaxy catching low level bounties while others are famous enough to operate at the richest planets. And those who sit just in the middle of those tiers operate just about everywhere such as our protagonist, Draco. Accompanied by his partner, Foxtrot, the tale of events that unfold after taking up a seemingly normal bounty will remind our protagonists of lives long forgotten... Welcome to the Outlaw Blues.

I have sat often in front of the computer, and stared long at the screen without ever writing a word. The synopsis for this project has haunted me since the first person asked me "So, what is it about?", and to this day I have never been able to deliver a straight answer. This book is about a number of things, many of which do not fit evenly into a succinct description. I have tried to make them fit and have found the resulting descriptions ill-representing and dull. Thus, I have decided to go without a description. This book will fade into obscurity no matter what I put here, so I might as well write what's really important. Winter in a city is an especially punishing time. This book comes out of my late nights and early mornings riding the train, and my looking at the window and being able to make out nothing but the blur of the glass. From the outside it may look dead, but certain people know that the inner workings of a city are a true marvel to behold. In writing this, I have tried to capture that marvel and deliver it to you, the reader. This is a book about a city and the people within it. The rest is up for you to read, if you so choose. With his status and tenure, it never occurred to him that he wouldn't be allowed to move on. When Shayla and Sydney came in as dealers a few years back instead of finishing college, their vow was a few years then out. They had a hell of a run. Parties that were legend, lovers of every sexy man type from Cuban to Norwegian and back again. But it was game time again. The years were great, but not what they wanted for their lives. Then they met Neil, and it was like seeing themselves for the first time, in stark light. He was always courteous and professional, unlike their other delivery men from the MC. He never treated them with anything except respect. In the reflection of his cobalt eyes, though, neither saw themselves worth his respect. It wasn't a shaming, more of a profound regret that a man like Neil finally showed up and they were too far into the life to say "hey, this isn't who we are." The whole "I'm not as I am" Othello play was for victims anyway, and they weren't victims. They were volunteers. But just meeting Neil slammed the door on waiting any longer to get out and back to university.
