Excerpt:
"I'm not human. Why are you so obsessed with pushing everyone away?" I demanded as I pushed away from the door. Henry took a step forward, crossing his arms.
"Because you don't belong here." Derik snapped. "And if the hunters found out what you really were . . ." He paused and turned to face me. "Death would really seem like a blessing. You're nothing but an abomination."
A new, Urban Fantasy begins. . .
18-year-old Morrigan Marsey is your typical average teenager, besides all the moving around. After her father is appointed sheriff in her hometown of Lohark for her senior year of high school, she finds herself back in the tiny little town she barely even remembers. But, upon enrolling in the only high school in the tiny town, she reconnects with her best friend from nearly ten years ago, Collin Blais. She also makes friends with the most popular girl in school, Paisley Frayson, which nearly shuts downs all the awful rumors about her estranged uncle of the same auburn hair color. She's finally found a place that she seems to fit into; with people being nice and supportive. But, not everything has changed in the tiny, bleak town stifled with mysterious death and horrors.
The fact that her family is keeping things secret from her, and that the forest preserve is still the constant hunting ground of something is entirely the same. When she finds an injured woman in the woods who is promptly murdered in front of her by some sort of large beast, her life is changed with a singular bite. She meets new people, including an intimidating loner, learns about her family's dark past, and has to fight the new power surging through her all while trying to maintain a regular life of a high-schooler.
Will she make it to graduation, or will she die before her high school life is over?
The outcasts of their pack, Dylan and Casey meet the mysterious Grey who breaks the rules of mating practices by being their third soulmate and change their lives for the better, but when there's a chance they'll lose Grey, Casey must accept his destiny as the Alpha of his pack before everything goes up in flames. Literally.
*****
Grey Weathers thought he was going on a relaxing vacation with his "friend with benefits" pal, until he walks right into two people that seem like the perfect couple, Dylan and Casey. What he doesn't know is that this couple are actually mates. Dylan and Casey are a couple of werewolves and their instincts are telling them that Grey is more special than he knows.
Grey finds himself in the middle of family drama, bloody secrets and a plot that would like to see every supernatural creature wiped from the face of the earth. All this is a lot to deal with, especially when he's falling in love with not just one, but two people. Could they be falling in love with him too? Is that possible? To fall in love with someone like him?
