Eylaah is a Winged Mage. They are born as normal people, but through a magical and painful process they gain their spell-casting abilities and wings. Not many survive through this process, and Eylaah is one of the few Winged Mages.
Things in their home city, Nieya, are not going well, however. Ever since their previous king Lhyati died, things had changed for the worse. One of the worst? There were murders every day. No one was safe alone.
Soon Eylaah's brother, Afintya, had enough. He called two of his friends, Cvyatik and Deiutyeh, and the four formed a group they called the Emirahs, meaning the "eagles". They were going to search for the main killer and put an end to it. Nieya started recognizing them as the "saviors", the "Assassins". But soon enough, things go horribly wrong..

(History) Hi my name is Serenity, and I have a secret I must tell, because you see I am immortal, which means that I cannot die no matter what, like for example you shoot 100 bullets at my heart I won't die. When I first realized I was immortal was when I was trying to save a friend but the bullet went right through my heart and killed her. Her name was Sarah, and she was the only person that accepted me being immortal. You see what happened was, she said that she was going to tell people that were scared of me that I was a normal person, but she said that to someone who really hated me and that was her brother, Ian, even though he may be hot, he can be a full on jerk. Nearly everyone at school knows that. But, the one thing I don't get is why he hates me. I can understands if he hated me after his sister died, but it didn't mean that he had to tell the police that I killed her, as I didn't, he did. He is such a bloody liar. One day I will get revenge on her, but that will happen once I get out of here. At the moment I am in jail, I've been telling the police that I didn't kill Sarah, but they still don't believe me. The chick in the cell next to me whose name was Raquel said that they won't believe anyone as they have heard too much shit from other prisoners. Raquel said that she did a pretty bad crime, and she been in prison for around 10 years. I am worried that I am going to have to stay for 10 years for something I didn't do. And the weirdness doesn't end here. We have to defeat a 'Dark Lord' too. He was a maniacal god who became a magician with the help of another magician. We have to kill him because if we don't then, he would kill us, which doesn't sound nice (and is a bit confusing) (*wink*). *** This is the first book of Monastasia series.
