Yes, the title is a reference to Love in Black and White by Mars Argo.

Heather Duke had always liked Veronica, but felt like Chandler had Veronica's attention, and of course never tried. That was until Chandler died. Duke then swept the spotlight from everyone, especially the dead Heather Chandler, and Veronica had no choice but to pay attention to her. Veronica slowly fell in love with the green girl, and Duke was happy about that. She finally had Veronica all to herself.
