The year is 2018 and twenty-two year old a American, Hannah Sayre, takes a trip to her maternal ancestral home in Scotland to clear her mind after a recent tragedy. Exploring in the company of her cousin, Iain MacDougall, the two decide to travel deep into the Highlands to Inverness, having heard the legends surrounding what she calls, "A bunch of rocks" which are known as Craigh na Dun. In a moment of curiosity, Hannah trails behind her cousin so that she can continue exploring before stopping and touching the cleft stone. Suddenly, she hears a buzzing sound and loses consciousness, waking up in a time before her own. She finds herself thrust into a war and under the watchful eyes of clans MacKenzie and Fraser. Will she return home or does history have other plans for her? Jamie/OC Will sometimes deviate from the original story line.

Isabel's life was turned upside down with one decision. She had been living rather a peaceful, albeit boring, life with her grandparents on the edge of the Scottish Highlands when a fateful land trade occurred and she was brought into a world that she never imagined. Isabel, now with the nickname Isla, finds herself in a whole new village, learning a new language, new world views, new traditions, and dealing with new emotions. --------------------------------- Laird Lachland MacNichol was tired. While he was only in his late 20s, he had spent most of his adult life picking up the mess that was left to him by his incompetent father. Not only had he reestablished their clans control of the Isle of Skye, he'd accidentally found himself with families under his protection on the mainland. While this made his old clan families proud of their newfound strength and connections, it had also gained the attention of other lairds in the area. Now, he had to pull in extra help from the new families to prepare for an onslaught of visitors from all ranks. Little did Lachlan know that his actions had put more into play than he realized and the laird's life was about to be changed in ways he could not imagine. (Very loosely set in the Scottish Highlands before the English impact the region too much - will revise someday to fix historical inaccuracies and make the timeline more concrete)
