Reality TV is the only thing that can prevent the world from collapsing.

In the near future the world is crumbling, and on the brink of war, the government is doing all it can to keep peace among citizens. With TV programs abruptly ending and a sharp decline in the film industry, one approach to keep the calm is reality television.

A contest is announced nationwide, and twenty winners are flown to an undisclosed location - a paradise - to participate in a television show that will be broadcast to hundreds of millions of viewers. The show is a mystery to all involved except production, but one thing is clear: the winner of the show will win a prize unlike any other - a prize that guarantees a future.

Told from the perspectives of multiple characters, this story is one of triumph and failure, intrigue and betrayal, and difficult choices in the face of great threat.
