SmackDown: Back to Our Roots
Our previous two SmackDowns were both massive successes, and it's high time for another. You might remember the last one was heavy on the "game" elements, maybe even too heavy. This time we're going back to the basics and keeping it simple. It's just a motherfuckin' sci-fi SmackDown: a heated writing contest where contestants are given text-, music- and visual-based prompts, and then they need to write a short story around that, following which they're judged for their efforts and either move on to the next round or they get eliminated from the competition. NOW THE DESCRIPTION RAH!!! ─────────ೋღ 🌺 ღೋ───────── Venus & Mercury despise each other but it wasn't always like this since the Proto-Era because instead of hating each other, they were actually friends! But after what Mercury saw Venus do to Vulcan, they stopped talking. They despised each other but then they start to get along pretty well when suddenly, Venus catches 'feelings' for Mercury! He can't get rid of the feeling as it grows deeper. So, does Mercury like him as well? Or is it just one sided. ALSO THIS IS CRINGE I'M SORRY😭😭😭

Heads up, I did not design this cover. I got it from YouTube on a Sonne meme video by Clay_ This is the first story I've ever written that I've actually intended for other people to read, so expect mistakes. I'm also looking for advice on how to improve this story like a beta reader, if you will. If you have a comment, criticism, or advice for me, please don't hesitate to post it as long as it's constructive. This story was inspired by the Solarballs YouTube channel. It will be different from the show's canon because it is an AU. There will be no ships because I think it's just weird to ship celestial bodies (no hate, just my opinion). All celestial bodies will also be genderless (but feel free to imagine them as whatever gender you want) because they're cosmic beings; why would they have gender? (Again, no hate) This story will focus on the Sun's backstory (with bits concentrating on other characters, namely other stars that helped shape Sun's character) because there is a disappointing lack of Sun-centric fan fiction. There will be both happy and angsty chapters (and a lot of headcannons), so prepare for a wild ride!

He's sick of it. He's sick of all the torment. He's tired of you. You don't care though. You never did. After getting into an argument with Venus, he flees to the asteroid belt. Soon after everyone is asleep, he has the urge to murder Venus, to which he almost succeeds before wussing out. He then meets his imaginary companion. Mercury then murders with the his friends persuasion. Then again with the voices persuasion. His sanity becomes more dull as time passes. He's finally mustered up the courage to defend himself. Using the worst way possible.
