Gewel is a decent kid. She listens to her parents, follows rules, and does her best to achieve good grades, and that's all she really needs. But when freshman year at Roseburry High School rolls around, things become odd for Gewel, and she's thrown though a loop, trying to fight off a devastating hunger. Literally.
