"Are you afraid now? " he asked wiping the blood from his lips.
Elizabeth stood frozen, unsure if she should run or not. She was terrified, but yet she was not afraid of him. Her breathing thickened and her heart pounded faster. Fear... that's what had become part of her daily life now. But she didn't fear, she felt sadness and pity.
"I can hear your heart beating so rapidly... You're breathing is heavy. So, tell me... are you afraid?" He asked with a slightly tainted red smirk.
"No," Elizabeth replied, her lip quivering just a bit.
"I pity you... I feel nothing but sorrow for you. To live your life as you are." She explained.
Nicolai slightly chucked as he tilted his head to the side and fixed his eyes on hers.
"To live a life that is eternal is not a life at all but damnation." He told her wiping once more his lips.
"And that's why I pity you." She responded with bluntness.
Nicolai chuckled again before rushing to her, grabbing a hold of the back of her hair slightly pulling her head down, and exposing her neck.
"I don't need pity." His voice was rough and it brought shivers down Elizabeth's spine.
Nicolai showered off his fangs at the girl, her eyes widened at them before he went down on her neck.
