Have you ever felt so lonely that you end up alone with your thoughts?

Have you ever felt so lonely that your only friend is in your head?

Well, for Trinity Ember Hadley that's exactly what happens. Her thoughts are the only person, or should I say thing, who listens to her when she needs to vent. Her thoughts pile on top of her inside her head, like a stack of overdue homework that just keeps on getting bigger.

There are times when she feels so alone, her thoughts become dangerous, so dangerous it controls her to a point where she can't take it anymore. She can't take the fact that she's left alone in the world. Not even her real parents are there to save her.

Trinity has been put into foster care since the age of two. All of her past foster families didn't treat her the way they were meant to. With love.

What makes her new foster family different? They care, they want to help.

Then there's Ryland Reid Jamison. The once popular kid, who turned into a depressed loner who just wants to be left alone.

He wants to be left alone where no one can find him. He wants to find himself again. The little boy who was once happy, filled with life and joy. Not the boy who has every girl clinging onto him like a life boat. He wants to be himself and enjoy himself with someone other than the fantasies of a perfect life inside of his mind.

Little did the two know that one project, which forces them to spill their deepest darkest secrets to each other, will show them how they both struggle from the same thing.

That project will show them how they're both so alike, yet different at the same time.

That they're both drowning.
