So far I've taken the IELTS twice. The first time I got a 7.0 for Writing, the second time (2 years later because the old one was expiring soon) a 7.5, so it's safe to say that your girl has made some progress.

These are the only bits of writing that I ever did to prepare for the test. I have never taken any IELTS courses whatsoever and I consider those unnecessary and costly if you've already had a good grasp of the language.
