When a world rests in imbalance for so long, it is only natural that new rules shall form to justify its present state. Sins we cannot see diffuse into a history we can, until all rests on the shoulders of the abstract strawman of human nature. For years, Bennet was content to blame human nature for the failings of his peers in Parliament. So too was Lydia content to influence human nature through her political writings. The state of polity, for better or worse, was something they could understand. But things are changing in the world of Halrin.
