Planet Earth. That's where she was born.

It's also where she died. The first time.

For the first fifteen years of Jessie Nightshade's life, nothing happened. Nothing at all. Not ever. She joined SHIELD her freshman year of high school, but still, it seemed like nothing happened.

And then she met a man called the Doctor, a man who could change his face. He took her away from her home in a machine and showed her the whole of time and space. She thought it would never end.

It did. For that version of her, anyway.

Then came Torchwood, and the War. And that was when it all ended. Jessie thought she knew who she was.

She was wrong.

After the Battle of Canary Wharf, three days after she died, she became a whole new person, with a whole new life to live. She had her forever. But she had it at a great cost.

Still, she and the Doctor keep moving on. But the Bad Wolf is still there, and she just can't ignore it. And when Martha Jones joins the TARDIS crew, she can't help but wonder how just one small thing can affect everything.

Because even though it's still her, she's not the only one struggling to adjust that this is what she's going to be now.

Mercedes Stark was the only daughter of Tony Stark. She was very unplanned, and he had her when he was rather young, but he didn't really have to raise her. He had many nannies and such to care for her, but that didn't make the girl care for her father any less. Like her father, Mercedes was rather smart, meaning she could do practically anything with ease. Mercedes graduated college at the age of eighteen, becoming one of the world's youngest doctors. She was actually a certified surgeon, but she also had degrees in other fields to do with computers, medicine, robotics, and things like that. As soon as she had graduated, she was able to get a job as a doctor for S.H.I.E.L.D. Her father didn't know about her job, but he knew she was working as a doctor somewhere. Mercedes kept quite a bit from her father, one thing being her boyfriend. He didn't know of the man his daughter was in love with. He didn't know that the man was almost eight years older than his daughter. He didn't know that the man was an agent for S.H.I.E.L.D. RavenBlack1832 also did a great job of staying in character for POV of characters that belong to Marvel. The suspense at the end of each chapter is great, you just can't wait to read on and when you do the action and twists are wonderful. Another great job by RavenBlack1832 is that they made sure Alex wasn't stealing other character's lines from the movie, all of them were her own just like her place on the team. The romance was also placed well throughout the story and not built up in certain spots that took over the plot. We can feel the characters' pain so well because we become so attached to Alex and the others." -MarvelFanFicRec
