In the year 2434, there was a vicious vampire king that legalized the hunting of shapeshifters. Villages of shapeshifter were attacked and shapeshifters were forced to go into hiding.
40 years later, shapeshifter are almost extinct. There are some small villages that are hidden, but there are less than 1,000 shapeshifters left.
