𝐹𝐴𝑇𝐸,
Is a player, and our human lives are nothing but silly games.
Fate plays everyone, everyone but me of course.
Fate does not play me. 𝐼 π‘π‘™π‘Žπ‘¦ π‘“π‘Žπ‘‘π‘’.
Is it easy to resist fate? Of course not.

This is not the mediocre life a birth like mine was set for, my choices are 𝑀𝑖𝑛𝑒. And the destination these choices will bring me to will also be 𝑀𝑖𝑛𝑒.

So what if my choices are paved with secrets and lies and plots.
So what if a mysterious man walks into my life or rather crashes into my life like a disaster, unrelenting, unknown and unmasks
my past, present and my future.

Fate never played with me but little did I know,
Fate didn't need to play me.
Because fate had won me, long before I even existed.

Today I want to die. Not because of anything in particular or specific, but just because the utter thought of ceasing to exist sounds devastatingly euphoric. To make the noise stop. To stop this stabbing pain in the lowest pit of my stomach that's causing a burning sensation that crawls all over my skin, making me want to peel it off. To stop the guilt that festers every time I take a breath-- an oxygen thief. To stop the constant urge to detonate over anything and everything that dares to love me because in all-- I could never deserve such an honor. Today I want to die. For the longest time, I thought I was just unlucky. That sometimes life doesn't work out for everyone, and for people like me; things just never get better. I had settled into the life of being unlucky, reveled in it, and found comfort in knowing that no matter what; I would just be categorically unlucky. That was until I realized luck had nothing to do with it. It's karma. It's the idea of what goes around comes around, and what goes up must come down. Didn't some philosopher speak to that once? However, it isn't my karma. Well it wasn't at first-- somewhere down the line after all my wrongdoing I'm sure it has switched to mine. But I am the poor soul stuck with my father's karmic retaliation. The karma that he deserves has been thrown against me as some sort of sick cosmic joke-- I'm sure he'd actually celebrate and feast on the fact that once again, he still gets to hurt me even from his grave. Too bad I killed him before he had the chance to see. *Book One in the Karma Duet. Book Two is now in progress, titled: The Karma Study*

"Why-why is he here?" I asked slightly feeling panicked. "Your father, Step- father owes me money. 36 million pounds to be exact." Stefan said as he buttoned his suit and looked at file on the desk. "Well we don't have that kind of money." I said as I furrowed my eyebrows as I looked at my fathers. "They need more time to pay it all off, it is true. I thought they will be able to pay it. So, I gave them five months. The third months can't be paid. They don't even one third of the annual payment. I believe you will a talk about my offer to them very soon." He said as he was walking towards me. "W-Wh-Why?" I asked as he approached me as I looked up at him. He was tall but, I was not very short either. He must be 6 feet but I was 5 feet and 7 inches. With my heels I was 5 feet 10 inches. His intense gaze on me made my chest warm. "You are part of it." The devil said in low voice as he stood next to me. I couldn't move or think for a few moments. His hot breath fell on my neck and it sent a shiver down my spine and make my breath hitch. Stefan Black entered my life. And my life fell into darkness. I am Diana Martin or was. Now, I am Diana Black. I belong to Stefan Black. He owns me. I am leverage, a useless asset to him. If makes my life hard I will make his hell.
