Avelina Cathaway is going to become an actress. Or at least that's what she thought. Ava is about to have her eyes opened to a world many, including herself; never once knew existed. Do the creatures of your nightmares really exist? Could demons be real? If so, what else are we ignorant to? In a series of unusual and paranormal events she learns the true meaning and consequences of bravery and self-sacrifice as she tries to save those she cares about.
Alongside the way she meets Talon; who is obviously not human and not someone you should mess with. He is selfish, irritating and egotistic but perhaps under his trademark smirk and cocky attitude there is something more. You know what they say- there's nothing like a life- or -death situation for you to really get to know someone.

Vega talon : Rise of the reluctant hero by Lewischaris_59
3 parts Ongoing Mature
Preface The future is here, and it's not quite what anyone ordered. Forget flying cars and robot butlers-this world is a mess of malfunctioning tech, questionable leadership, and people who still can't figure out how to recycle. Smack dab in the middle of it all is Vega Talon, the galaxy's least qualified (and least interested) savior. Equipped with an exosuit that looks way cooler than it actually is (it squeaks when she walks), Vega is just trying to get through the day without spilling coffee on her armor or accidentally saving the wrong person. Of course, the universe has other plans. When a shadowy conspiracy threatens the fragile balance of this high-tech dystopia, Vega is forced to step up-or at least stumble forward-in the name of justice, or whatever it is heroes are supposed to stand for these days. Between dodging laser beams, deciphering cryptic messages from a grumpy AI sidekick, and trying to negotiate peace treaties with species that communicate exclusively through interpretive dance, Vega quickly learns that saving the world isn't all glory and applause. Sure, she's got the look of a hero, but Vega isn't exactly thrilled about the job description. Hero work doesn't come with health insurance or even a decent snack break. She's sarcastic, stubborn, and not above using her enemies' confusion to her advantage ("Wait, are you monologuing right now? Let me just... sneak out while you do that."). But somewhere between the chaos and the comedy, Vega might just discover what it means to be a true hero-assuming she doesn't trip over her own boots first. Vega Talon: Rise of the Reluctant Hero is a high-octane adventure filled with heart, humor, and plenty of awkward moments. It's for anyone who's ever wondered if the universe is messing with them (spoiler: it is). Buckle up-it's going to be one heck of a ride.
