The World was totally polluted. Everything was plastic and full of black carbon. Then a day came when the world had it's first smart alternative fuel called "pink petroleum" and then it was just magic. Everything started changing. The sky was clear and the air was fresh again to breathe. It was full of abundance.
But the peace was not eternal and something happened which had completely shocked the world.
This is a short story of about approximately three thousand words

I stare at him horrified. it couldn't happen my life was already ruined, and I don't want it to be ruined any further. No! It can't happen! I've dreamed of the perfect marriage ever since I was a little girl: a marriage complete with a hardworking husband while I tended to the home and our children, preferably four little rugrats to call my own. To make matters worse, it came with a minor side effect: a disease called Gold fever. In other words, people started to turn into gold. Over the course of a single day, Phoenix becomes the most hated person in the world. As the economy collapses around them, only three of his friends are willing to stay by his side. Their job is to keep Phoenix alive while he tries to make money reappear and find a cure to Gold fever. Which turns out to be more challenging than they thought, as they find out someone is tailing Phoenix with the intention to kill.Concluida
