Another shopping trip. Another store.

"Alyssa! Come try on this!"

Another dress to try on. 

"It's so beautiful!" they say. "You should wear dresses more often." they say. "I don't like wearing dresses" I want to scream back. I don't, but they notice when I wear more shorts and jeans with a work-out T-shirt than skirts and dresses. They notice when I stop making my long, brown hair all "nice and pretty" and either french braid it or put it in a ponytail away from my face (usually the later). They think it's because of school or sports. It's partially true. Just not the whole truth.
