When Michael and Sarah Lawson go on a road trip to celebrate Sarah's 21st birthday, things don't go as planned. After getting lost and running low on gas, they are forced to take refuge in a refurnished 1930's mental hospital that is now home to Mr and Mrs. Jenkens. There, they meet three other travelers who also lost their way and were taken in by the eccentric couple. It seems to be a fine place to stay the night until the power goes out during dinner. When the lights come on, Sarah, another guest and the Jenkens are missing. It's up to Michael and the two remaining guests to find them and unravel the mystery that has haunted Saint Geromes for years.
