This is my fourth short story for the National Geographic #PlanetOrPlastic writing contest. My story follows Holly, a teen committed to an inpatient adolescent eating disorders unit. Trapped within those walls, she feels helpless over the plastics crisis, watching the outside world from her chair by the window. Despite her every attempt to encourage the hospital staff to recycle, she finds herself overwhelmed by the bureaucracy of the mental health system. Yet, Holly does not give up in her efforts to do her part for the Earth. Like Holly, no matter what stands in your way, be it money, the government, or even your daily life, you truly can contribute to this cause. I hope my short story inspires you!

The Earth is dying, yet humanity survives. Pollution and radiation run rampant on the surface. The government rations food and clean air for everyone. The glass domes provide some sense of security, but they are only for the rich who can afford the astronomical price of providing precious clean air to a whole city. People are going mad and dying off like flies. There's no cure they can find. They only know one thing. Their last precious resource is going to be the death of them. Avani looked at the pizza store in front of her. Many passed by her, giving her glares and weird looks but Avani didn't care. All she could think about was food. And how her own step-mother disowned her. And the nurse's horrified face. And how warm her toes would be if she had just one match. Sighing, she walked to her corner around the garbage dump of a random store and laid down. But then, a shiny object dropped from the sky, and that was the answer to her question. But she had a weakness. And that weakness will bring her down, it'll destroy her inside and out. A Big Book of Short Stories
A collection of my ideas. While most could have been cared for and nurtured until they grew into fully fledged books, they have only matured halfway, creating a efficient way to get stuck in your head. I'll also post short stories that I may or may not try turning into novels. From "The Kid is Hot Tonight," a story about such topics as high school parties and domestic abuse. To "Just Another Nightmare," a story about a kind of hell you might never have thought of. This collection will likely make you question if something is wrong with me. Spoiler alert; there is. It will also show you the farthest reaches of the world and the furthest horrors that I can write about. If you want an update on how the next story is coming along, you can ask me however you want. The Best Kind of Betrayal
It's the first day of June's senior year and everything is already going wrong. Her first boyfriend and supposedly love of her life dumps her for someone else, her heart is broken and feels like it won't ever heal again and her best friend makes her join the most unnecessary club on earth to help her find new friends she most definitely does not need. Still. New chances are for new beginnings, right? Instead of falling into a deep dark pit of self pity (however tempting that may sound), all of this betrayal ends up leading her to the best friends she's ever had and the most exciting school year of her life. Oh - and a whole new fake boyfriend, to get some revenge on that idiot who dumped her. And who knows. Maybe even more.
