Taken to a world she does not know, and surrounded by beings who see her only as a source of entertainment, Sunni St. Claire has every right to be afraid. Fair haired and tan-skinned, she is the antithesis of Winter and of the Fey who have taken her. Their intent? She is to be a gift. Lord Beleriand, an Archfey in the Court of Winter, is something of a recluse in the circles of Fey nobility. He takes no pleasure in causing mortals to suffer but makes no attempts to save them from individual ruin. During the Winter Equinox, a gathering at which all Fey are to attend, he is presented with a peculiar tribute.
