"I can't do this! We!- can't do this!" I said averting my eyes from his and touching my neck where his lips once were.

"Why not?" River said, obviously hurt and angered, and it wasn't because he didn't go all the way with me.

"River!" I yelled in disbelief,"we can't be whatever you want us to be.. we have to be just friends," I closed my eyes and tried not to look at him,"and that's all."
