Back, a generation or two ago, the earth had blue skies. Green grass. Clear rain. White clouds. Things were safe back then, they didn't have burning beauties or blind dust or any of the new, strange, weather. Everything started when Ezekiel did what was thought to be impossible and in doing so, he doomed humanity. Lyx is the leader of a group of survivors, mostly hunters, and scavengers. He sends them out on missions to gather supplies for food, water, their garden, supplies for the few doctors. But he's hiding a massive secret. The people wonder why he always comes out late and some never see him but they can always feel that he's near. Where is he? Why doesn't he ever come with us? Where does he get the supplies he gets? Some secrets are just to big to tell, so he must keep it hidden. (Chapters seem short, format doesn't like the change)

The world has ended. It wasn't the big explosive thing everyone had expected. No single moment of collapse, no one person to blame. Only a long, insidious torment. A trial with no end. Alek knows this well. He's one of the last few, aimless and broken; part of those who roam the silent ruin. Until one day, he stumbles upon a house. A relic of the past. And through a simple game of chance and choices, he is set upon a path he never intended to walk. A path that will only lead to more deaths, more questions... and things crueller still. But it will also lead him to others - different from him in every way but one: they're survivors. People still holding on. In spite of everything.
