In order to become a god you have to complete the "rite of passage". For every god that's different but equally just as challenging.
And as much as Eros doesn't want to admit it he's having trouble and at 23 he still can't seem to get his life together and do the one thing that will let him live up to the true title of Cupid. Raphael, his right hand man, hasn't accepted the fact that Eros won't be Cupid; something he and Eros has dreamed about since they were little. So being the amazing friend he is he takes matters into his own hands and contacts Amira Frey.
Amira Fey is the world's best match maker and head of Cupid's Match. She calls herself Cupid not knowing of the real one hiding in the shadows, and after breaking up with her horrible boyfriend 5 years ago, the only thing she wants is for everybody else to find love. So when Raphael finally confronts Amira and explains the situation you can imagine her not wanting to risk her identity being known matching up somebody with a sketchy history she didn't know. But when Cupid tells her he'll make her ex-boyfriend love her again, she takes up the job of finding Cupid's match.
Only problem is he made the deal to match her, not knowing she was his.
