This is a recollection of how a girl was forced to keep completely silent for 16 years. This is Addie's story.
Addie is stuck in a house with two abusive parents. She is told that she has to be completely silent all the time, no matter what she is doing. If she ever steps out of line and makes a noise they somehow know how to find her, even if she is in the most secretive place in the house. Is there a reason behind this? Are her parents being followed? Maybe something worse is going on...
