My name is Amber Crue. I'm in middle school, and I have known my best friend, Regina Phyllips, ever since kindergarten. We've shared every secret that we had to each other. That's what we thought. I've actually been keeping a secret from her. And, it turns out that she's been keeping a secret too.

Recently, Regina told me about a secret, not even her parents know about. She told me that she was a secret agent working for the government.

I didn't want to believe her at first. I didn't want to be known as gullible, ever. But, she's a really good at convincing people.

But, the twist is, I already knew. I knew about everything. How she's been working for the government ever since she was a toddler. And how she is the government's number 1 agent.

How do I know that, you might ask. Well, it's because I have been researching her for the last few years. I'm not saying I'm a stalker. I'm just doing my job. I work for the government's enemies, The AOC, a.k.a the Agency of Criminology.

I didn't choose this job. I was forced into it. My mission was to seek the government's best agent, befriend her, then eliminate her. But, during the years I've spent with her, I've grown attached to our friendship. But, I can't backout of the mission or else I'm going to get killed by the people around me.
So, it's basically me or her.

WATTPAD BOOKS EDITION There are imperfect moments in every life-but sometimes, there are perfect accidents . . . What's the point of pretending nothing has changed when everything has? It's the last summer before college, and Jonas Avery knows he should be excited. Instead, he hides out at home, avoiding his friends, his family, and everything that resembles his old life. Because nothing will be normal again-because of The Accident, when everything started falling apart. Brennan Davis knows she needs to stand up and face her anxiety-the deep, dark, debilitating dread that rules her everyday life. Because what stops her from going out into the world and just living is going to get a whole lot worse. She's leaving for college in the fall, where she'll be confronted with even more to worry about. To get back up sometimes you have to fall down, hard . . . When Jonas crashes into Brennan-in a harmless, albeit embarrassing fender bender-the two teens connect in ways they never expected. As friends, they help each other overcome their biggest falls and faults, and soon discover that while love can't fix everything, it's sometimes a place to start. Sensitive, wry, and unabashedly authentic, The Opposite of Falling Apart isn't about finding perfection in another person or fixing the things we think are broken. Instead, Micah Good has penned an enchantingly honest novel about accepting the very pieces of ourselves that make us unique, whole, and undeniably human.
