This is a monologue from one of my characters, Arian, who's a scientist from the late 1800s. He was born into a family where the men basically live to love and be loved (or lust and be lusted for) and only that. They are "gentlemen," however Arian explains what it takes to be a true gentleman.
The cover art is mine- the taller one is Archie, and the other poor lad is a young Arian.
