Adrian had a brother named Seth, they both didn't get along well. But once Seth stepped into Katherine's life she started to have feelings for him but was still attached to Adrian since he saved her and showed her how to be a vampire. Adrian discovered how Katherine felt and became a monster, Adrian and Seth had a huge fight and Seth was hurt. Once Katherine found out how Adrian truly was, she left him and chose to be with Seth.
