Two summers ago, a heartbreaking experience affects 14-year-old Lilia Miller and still does as she enters her new high school. She makes herself out to be someone who's quick-witted, never liking the spotlight. Just when she thought she couldn't get rid of the scars that wreak havoc on her mind, a boy named Max Evans comes to understand her and that's all she needs. But his popularity is soon too much for Lilia and swoons the focus of the entire school on her, bringing back memories she thought she had erased.

This story involves many things. Perhaps it's clichè and perhaps it's not. It's the story of Max Keller. The girl who was forced to move and transfer schools when she was fourteen only to be harassed by a boy with lots of freckle and lots of questions. Five to be exact.
