Taylor Swift, some would say, was one of the biggest celebrities out there. It's funny, given this fact, how someone that has spent their entire life from sixteen, living under a spotlight, can be in an abusive relationship for three years, and no one notices.
Not a single person.
They don't see the hands that wander her body in the middle of the eternal night or the bruises on her cheeks from a blow that she didn't deserve.
Not a single person saw her pain.
Until she met Joe Alwyn, on a Wednesday, at a cafe. The whirlwind of memories from the Met Gala, when she'd first laid eyes on him, whilst in the arms of another. Those ocean eyes that had followed her around the dance floor, as he stood to the side.
She didn't know that Joe remembered that moment when they'd first met. But he'd been watching - he couldn't stop watching. She was mesmerising. And she'd had that sparkle in her eyes, the first thing he'd noticed about her. But when he saw her in that cafe, that sparkle was nowhere to be seen, and a bruise had taken its place.
