Katniss is a rich child, her father owns the most parts of California and she lives the perfect life to the eyes of the others. She grew up in the perfect manner way but she never seemed to fit in. She turns to the wrong way at some point of her teenage years and her father forces her to work for him when a tragedy hits their household. When she starts working at a clinic for mental problems she meets with someone that will completely change her life. Peeta Mellark was in the clinic for most of his life. He was a loner as he could not communicate normally with the other people around him. Can Peeta teach Katniss what life is really about?

In what used to be North America, the proud country of Panem now stands. The rulers from the Capitol hold a televised survival competition in which one male and one female between the ages of twelve and eighteen are reaped to fight to to death in an arena designed to be as deadly as the tributes, themselves. This game is forever known as The Hunger Games. Peeta Mellark, District Twelve's Baker's son, has been, madly in love with his companion, Katniss Everdeen, since the small age of five. Ever since tragedy gave him enough courage to ask for her hand, the unspeakable happens. Katniss's little sister, Primrose, is reaped for the death sentence. Peeta watches helplessly as his lover volunteers to take her place in the Games. Soon after, Peeta is reaped himself. He knows that only one will come out alive: someone smart, determined, and strong enough. And it would be his love. It had to be. This is my verson of The Hunger Games, originally writen by Suzanne Collins.
