All Rayna ever wanted was to see her parents again but this is almost impossible in the time of the Holocaust. Of course most people know that Hitler and the Nazis were against the Jews living in the same conditions as them. But, when you are a 13 year old girl this is a mortifying experience. Throughout the Holocaust, Rayna has to find her way out of the country without being noticed by any Nazi soldiers.
