Dragons of Arilla (Book 1 - Draft 2)

Conflict between humans and fire dragons is reaching a tipping point, and everyone expects war to break out soon. The question is, who will strike first?

Young dragons Poison and Pierce have had enough of the bullying and harassment of their clutchmates. So, Poison decides to prove her strength by capturing a human, and Pierce chases after, but her plan results in the two of them getting captured instead. Pierce escapes, but he wont return home without the only family member who's always been there for him, even if he's small, and weak. If Pierce wishes to rescue his sister, it will take the help of some unlikely allies, and a strength that he never knew he had.

Though everyone is expecting Queen Orchid to name her favorite nephew as her heir, Red has never been a leader, and he has no intention of starting. Until his siblings are abducted, and his world is thrown into chaos. The queen's refusal to strike first is put to blame for the abduction, and her brother is given the final push he needed to seize the throne for himself. While other dragons celebrate their new monarch, ready and willing to declare war, Red fears what kind of future his father will lead them to. If he doesn't learn to act, he risks losing everything.
