Monsters. Creatures of the night that only exist in stories of fiction; werewolves, vampires and so forth. We were told about them when we were little by our parents. When we became scared of these monsters, our parents would comfront us by saying that cretures of the night don't exist for they would be very dangerous if they did. When we didn't believe the words that were being cooed to us, they told us that no matter what, as our parents, they would protect us to their last breath... but what if those monsters weren't the ones we needed protection from? What if the ones we needed protection from were our parent, the person that is supposed to take care of us? What if they were the real monsters? And what if one of the monsters we were told about to make us fear for so long was the one to save us?
Ever since childhood stories of werewolfs facinated me. Whenever I sat and still to this day sit to read stories about werewolves, I always finished happy. I loved the idea of the werewolf finding his human mate and taking her away from all her problems, saving her. I thought it was awesome that they accepted each other for who they were, forgetting about the past and thinking only of the future together. It was magical, but magic doesn't exist, so I never thought it would happen to me... well I thought about it, as a joke with my friends, but I never thought THOUGHT about it, you know? Now I wish I had, 'cause I was dragged into their world blinded... literally. I am Lexi (Alexas) Wolfe, and this is my story.
A genetically unique but emotionally lost teenager must figure out who she is within her mixed-up, warring world of Shifters and Wolfstalkers.

It wasn't Maddie's choice to be born a half-breed, half Shifter, half Wolfstalker -- a hunter of Shifters -- and it wasn't her choice to keep her identity a secret. But after trying to attend high school like any normal sixteen-year-old, things quickly spiral south when her Stalker uncle finds out about her and catapults her out of anonymity and into the awareness--or possibly the crosshairs--of The Order of the Wolfstalker. Maddie must think fast and figure out a way to keep herself and her family safe, or risk losing everything. Including her life.
