For the booksmart yet naïve 16-year-old Nicky, high school in her quaint little hometown island in the Philippines had always been predictable. Until that senior year. Nicky thought she got things all figured out. She'd be very good at school and be the valedictorian of the single-section class of 2010 of the highly looked-up science high school in their island. And then, she'd get a full scholarship to her dream university. All was fairly well except for a few things like grappling her feelings towards a long-time crush. Just when Nicky thought she could get through high school without too much boy-drama, a somewhat seemingly love life with a boy or two and suddenly, maybe even three was finally catching up with her during the last few months before high school graduation. She had never thought she could be wrong about a person. And that she could always be wrong about boys... ✨✨✨ Sidenote: I wrote this from November 2010 to April 2011, only a year ahead from the time set in the novel. Unexpected Future!
We think and we expect! We do this both a lot and without these there is not much to do. Will there be any action without expecting a future from it? If so, then that is amazing. However, it is not in most people's worlds. And mainly in four people's world who had this vivid description of expectations for their futures, but ended up with another vivid unexpected futures. Everything was simple from the beginning in their own perspectives, but it was not from the beginning in real sense and it keeps on moving far away from simple with each moment and in the end turns the lives upside down but not the four people's because one of them got what they want but still went with the flow like an innocent. With that confusion, misconceptions arise and secrets will be revealed along with a clearance of misunderstandings and what not. It all seems to be too much of a trap, but what can anyone do when they really got trapped by the destiny or is it something else. All this can either be described as "What is meant to be always finds a way" or as "Karma is really a bitch"... Let's see what can be the perfect description...Complete
