The first part of the story follows Mikey as a young boy trying to cope with his father's drinking problem. He's able to thanks to his older sister but he might not be with her for as long as he hopes. The second part of the story is when Mikey is an adult and focuses primarily on him and his wife as well as his search for his sister. The story is told in past tense so be ready for a suprie ending when the story catches up to the present.
