I felt hot breath on the back of my neck.
“Look at me,” he growled, he was behind me, only a few inches away I could feel his body heat radiating against my bare back.

His hands were big and I felt even more exposed as he pressed my back into his suit-clad body. He spun me around quickly, holding me tightly in place.
“Look at me now,” he said, allowing power to seep into his voice. I shook my head, my usual confidence draining my body leaving me weak.
“That was not a question, mate,”
“I am not you’re mate,” I spluttered, no, no, no this was not supposed to happen. I felt my breathing quicken and told myself to calm down. I would find a way out of this. There was always a way out.
“Look at me mate,” I can’t look at him, what if it’s true? What if I am his mate? It can’t be true. Clare was supposed to be his mate, not me, and if I look into his eyes it could confirm the impossible.
