After a science experiment gone wrong, our world collided with the world of the Naenkrix, an alien species born to serve. They live in what is called the Shadowlands, where they can see us, but we can't see them. Everyone 16+ years old is assigned a Naenkrix to keep them safe.

For 16 year old Liam Wentworth, life was completely normal in the small town of North Roxbury, until after his sixteenth birthday, he can see aliens living among humans. 

Alexandra was assigned to Liam Wentworth on his 16th birthday, her duty, protect him until it is his time to die, she thought it would be the same as every other assignment she was given, until she heard those three words that would change everything.
