When a child is turns 7, they are assigned a color, and with that color, a title. The highest color is purple, which represents royalty, while green is the lowest color, meaning the working class. Being without a color is extremely rare, and only happens if the baby is born at midnight on a blue moon. To show what color they are, their hair has been forever dyed that color.
Once the children turn 7, they go to a school with all the colors. Colorless and royal children are also sent to this school.
We follow two girls, one who was assigned as a pink to a green family, and her sister, who doesn't have a color at all.
