"I prove my point. You don't want this. You think you do because he told you you do. I won't help you fall until I know you really want to." He starts to stand, but Atarah reaches for his arm and pulls him back down with her angel strength. He wasn't expecting it at all and his eyes widen at the action. She pulls herself to sit on his lap, her wings surrounding the both of them protecting them from onlookers and her own fear of being rejected. They gave her the confidence she needed to get through this. Her hands rest at the base of his neck as she peers into his green eyes. His hands automatically rest on her thighs. "You can read my thoughts. You always have. You know exactly what I think of you now. My heart barely beats unless I'm around you. I need you, and I know there's some part of you that wants me." Lucifer grips Atarah's thighs harder at the proclamation. Lucifer sits silently for a second as he reads Atarah's thoughts to see if she's genuine or not. He can feel her fear but her confidence at the same time. Her thoughts are conflicting but he hears one that helps her argument stand a little taller- "I never thought I would do anything like this; I've always held back this side of me. It feels like I was finally following my own desires." A story in which an angel must realize if her destiny is worth falling for, and if making a deal with the devil is really as bad as it seems.
