This is based of my Disney's What If...? Bruno the Misunderstanding Soothsayer. It's from Disney's Encanto btw. I am going to rewrite it. Just don't know how long. Edited: From January 20th - 26th, 2022. Almost a week. Plot Summary: This story takes place in Encanto, Columbia. Mirabel Madrigal just turned 5 years old. She was ready to see what gift beyond the magical door. Unfortunately, Mirabel became sad because her door disappears. She did not get a gift. Bruno Madrigal was the misunderstanding soothsayer. He was summoned by his mother. Abuela Alma Madrigal worried about the magic, the candle and the casita. His mother mentioned that Mirabel did not get a gift on her ceremony. Bruno have no idea how that happen. She tasked him to see the future of the candle and the casita. What if Bruno chose to meet Mirabel instead of foreseeing the future? Again, it's a rewritten Encanto what if. Due to popularity since it got out on Disney Plus, I am going to make my Disney what if happened. Note: It's an uncle and niece family relationship. A Zurena FanFic. One-shot, but really, really long. 2nd person/Zulema's POV (Congratulations, you get to be Zulema)! Set in Season 5. Takes place after New Year's but prior to Maca telling Zulema that she quits. I wrote this to make El Oasis make sense in my own head, because while the Zurena interactions were on point, the story-line was total crap. I'd prefer not to give too much away here, but I understand that people like to know what they are getting themselves into, especially given the length of this work. So I will say this... This is written as a sort of stream-of-consciousness piece that takes a dive into Zulema's psyche as she navigates a meaningful day and reflects on herself and her relationship with Maca. It's written from Zulema's perspective, and truthfully second-person usually isn't my favorite, but it just felt right for this story. So for those of you who find that approach awkward, I hope you will still give it a chance. This is the first fic I have ever written, so feedback is truly appreciated. And since I couldn't get the d@mned Dedication option to work, I will add that here as well- This fic is dedicated to my little fried shrimp who inspired me to write it, encouraged me to publish it, helped me with the Spanish bits, acted as the world's greatest sounding board, and without whom it would not have ever happened. Everyone in town knows about the sea monster. Every night, he goes into town to find his prey. He lures them in with his voice, only to bring them back to the ocean, to eat them. Few survive this, and the people who do, they lose their mind, like they were cursed. You can only gather from them that he was beautiful, his voice was like an angel's, and that when he took you into the ocean, he became a monster. He only hunted young men, women, teens, and the occasional twelve-year old. It was terrifying, because the people had no way to stop him. Every night, someone would go missing, or come back insane. They knew he lived in the ocean, and when people tried to bomb the area where they thought the monster lived, they would either be cursed, or just eaten by the sea monster himself. And the people who came back insane, they would always wander over the fact that the monster had not even a scratch on him. Teens, young men and women would fear for their lives, and lock themselves in their houses at night. But only one person refused to hide, either in bravery or utter stupidity. That person was Will Solace. So basically, this story is based on the cover art of the book. I just thought it was such a great idea and wanted to put it to story. I saw another person do this and they used the same cover art, and I hope you guys like my version! I, personally very much like it and hope you guys do to!
