The group of boys weren't the first Gladers, no a young seven year old girl was. She's been living within the maze walls since. She has one friend that she never met, doesn't even know if he's real but that didn't matter. All she has is instinct, a friend in her head, and a hope to survive. She is the first Glader, she is the hope of survival with a knowing of everything and anything.

In order to save herself and the boys she is dropped into a world she's been avoiding, a truth she lied to everyone even herself about. When her world is flipped upside down due to being caught once everything changes before anyone can even say her name, Ro.
