Dakota Hale is the youngest member of the Hale family. Her life hasn't exactly been what you would call a dream, in fact it's the exact opposite.

Losing her family only at the age of 10 made hers and the little family she has left, lives absolute hell. Laura: her older sister, Derek: Her older brother, Peter: Her catatonic uncle, and herself were all that was left of the Hale family. 

While Peter was at Beacon Hills hospital, unresponsive, Derek and Laura took Dakota away from Beacon Hills. None of the three could stand to be there after what had happened. The three siblings took care of each other for many years, the three of them against the world. 

For many years they were as good as they could be, but nothing ever lasts long does it?

Six years later Laura goes back to Beacon Hills following a sign and goes missing. Derek and Dakota pack up what little possessions they have and hit the road heading back to their home town after so many years.

What will happen to the Hale siblings whose lives never seem to go right? Read to find out.
